Mansel Carter Oasis Park

Queen Creek, Arizona

Mansel Carter Oasis Park is a 46-acre Town of Queen Creek park designed to be a regional destination facility that serves the community’s recreational needs. The project includes a five-acre fishing lake, playground with climbing wall, splash pad, wheel-friendly skate park, fitness zone, baseball fields with concessions and playground, multi-purpose fields, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic ramadas and shade structures, maintenance facility, well site, and a destination lakeside peninsula area with a waterfall feature and large event ramadas. The J2 Team also provided park drainage and grading engineering, roadway design, and half-street improvements to Sossaman Road. Our team designed the lake to appear significantly larger by including various curves and undulating edges while still allowing for ease of maintenance. The baseball field complex includes stadium-style seating with a raised plaza that offers bleacher seating, a shaded playground, restroom and concession buildings, ample shade for spectators, enclosed dugout and bullpens. The multi-use fields can be utilized for soccer, football, or large-scale events. The playground provides views of the beautiful San Tan Mountains to the south and the adjacent equestrian trailhead provides a resting place along the Queen Creek Wash which is part of the regional trail system.
