J2 Design and Wheat Design Group Have Merged

We are excited to announce that Wheat Design Group is now a part of J2 Design. Both Wheat Design Group and J2, based in Tucson and Phoenix respectively, provide award-winning, world-class public works design services. Wheat Design Group’s existing staff will continue to operate in Tucson, AZ as J2’s Tucson office location under the name Wheat, a J2 Design Studio. Laura Mielcarek, PLA, Wheat’s principal, will continue to serve as the Tucson studio director and will be supported by J2’s principals Jeff Velasquez, PLA, Aaron Allan, PLA, and Jason Touchin, PE.  The combined team will continue to focus on developing creative sustainable design solutions for our clients. The firm will now have 39 dedicated professionals serving our clients throughout the state of Arizona. We are looking forward to providing expanded design capabilities for both existing J2 and Wheat clients and new clients in Southern Arizona and across the state.
